Charge your EV at home

Install a home EV charger and plug in overnight for a full battery every morning. We'll survey your property, install the right charger for your car and explain how it works — so you never have to queue at a public charging point again.

Why charge at home?

Cheaper than public charging

Home electricity costs a fraction of public rapid chargers. Charge overnight on an off-peak tariff and you'll pay even less per mile.

Ready when you are

Plug in when you get home and wake up to a full battery. No detours, no waiting, no wondering if the charger's working.

Charge from your solar panels

Pair your charger with solar panels and battery storage to power your car from the sun. Any excess solar energy can top up your EV instead of exporting to the grid.

Smart or tethered — which charger suits you?

We'll recommend a charger based on your car, your driveway and whether you have solar panels. Tethered units have a cable attached, so you just plug straight in. Untethered chargers need you to bring your own cable — useful if you have more than one EV or want to keep the cable in the car.

Smart chargers can schedule charging for off-peak hours, show you how much energy you've used and pair with solar systems to charge from your panels during the day. We'll talk you through the options at survey and fit the one that makes sense for your household.

How we install your charger

  1. Survey and design

We visit your property to check the route from your fuse board to where the charger will go, measure cable runs and confirm your electrics can handle the load.

  2. Recommend the right charger

Based on your car, parking arrangement and whether you have solar, we'll suggest the charger that fits your needs and explain why.

  3. Install in one day

Our electricians fit the charger, run the cable and test everything. Most installations take three to four hours, and we'll tidy up before we leave.

  4. Show you how it works

Before we go, we'll walk you through how to plug in, how to use the app if it's a smart charger and what to do if anything changes.

What affects the cost of installation

Distance from your fuse board

The further the charger is from your consumer unit, the more cable and labour are needed. A garage close to the house costs less than a charger at the end of a long drive.

Type of charger

Tethered units with attached cables cost more than untethered sockets. Smart chargers with scheduling and solar integration sit at the higher end, but unlock off-peak charging and solar pairing.

Electrical work required

If your fuse board needs upgrading or we have to run cable through walls or underground, that adds to the installation time and cost. We'll flag anything like that at survey.

One team from survey to switch-on

The same team that surveys your property is the one that installs your charger. You're not handed between departments or subcontractors — you deal with people who know your home and your setup.

We're based in Staffordshire, so if you have a question after installation or need anything adjusted, we're a phone call and a short drive away. No call centres, no waiting weeks for a visit.
